Covell (562) 494-5534 Furnish all labor, material, supervision, equipment and tools necessary to provide a "design/build" package (engineered drawings and calculations) and necessary construction for Project No. 664-311, entitled Subspecialty Clinic Swing Space, at the VA Medical Center located at 3350 LaJolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. Work shall consist of six (6) "design/build" package submissions (schematics, design development, 65% construction documents, 95% construction documents, 100% construction drawings, and finals) site preparation, demolition, general construction to include architectural, civil, landscaping, structural, electrical and mechanical work, utilities and other items to complete the work as intended by this Request for Proposals. This design/build project involves shelling in a new second floor (Approx. 31,432 sq. ft.) and potentially developing approximately 10,000 gross square feet of space on the west side of the building for a Dental Clinic. The design shall be of comparable constructionto the existing building. Source Selection procedures will be utilized in evaluation of contractor proposals. Cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation issue date is o/a 4/21/99. Pre-proposal conference is o/a 5/6/99. Date for receipt of proposals is 5/21/99.
