NASA Langley Research Center plans to issue a IFB for Modifications to the High Bay at Building 1256, Combined Loads Test Facility, (COLTS), West Area, of the NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to the following: -- Construction of an approximately 750 square foot mezzanine -- Installation of stairs for mezzanine -- Installation of guard rails of mezzanine -- Lighting and power for mezzanine -- Installation of new heating system The order of magnitude for the procurement is $100,000 to $250,000 and the effort shall be completed within 150 calendar days after notice to proceed. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and 7M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about April 16, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about May 16, 1999. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB. Drawings only will be available from the Bid Distribution Office (757) 864-2547.
