These installation kit items consist of vehicle specific VIS component interconnection cables (power, radio and alarm) and associated hardware. The sum of the installation items, along with the headsets and component boxes that are option items in the contract, constitutes the installation kit for the vehicles. This acquisition is for VIS installation kit items, a total quantity of 144 and an option for up to 2,000. The equipment is being acquired on a sole source basis from Northrop Grumman Corporation, Rolling Meadows, IL, as a modification under Contract No. DAAB07-92-C-B008.
