This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared
in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
4TRF-99-BT-002 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The
solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in
effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 11. This requirement is a
small business set-aside. SIC 7379, Computer Related Services Not
Elsewhere Classified, size standard $18.0 million. 1. This solicitation
is to purchase of a quantity of three Internet Security Systems
(ISS-T1) Internet Scanners (Internet Scanner Audit License for the
Naval Security Group -- Pensacola, FL). This item will up-grade
on-going Navy Service Cryptologic Element information assurance and
operations. This item is a solution for quickly finding and fixing
security holes through automated and comprehensive network security
vulnerability detection and analysis. The Internet Scanner scans and
detects vulnerabilities, prioritizes security risks and generates a
wide range of meaningful reports ranging from executive-level trend
analysis to detailed step-by-step instructions for eliminating security
risks. Three Audit Licenses (with approximately two scans per IP range)
to meet the requirement of no notice, around the clock vulnerability
scans for the LAN. Invoices. Invoices shall be submitted after
delivery. Offerors shall provide a price proposal for the requested
