QUOTATION DAAD16-99-T-1000. This synopsis/solicitation is amended for
the purpose of CORRECTING errors that are located on the drawing
packages associated with this acquisition. The original
synopsis/solicitation was posted in CBDNet on 23 March 1999 and in the
printed issue on 25 March 1999. The following changes are in effect:
1.) On drawing 5-4-7962, the 18'0" reference dimension represents the
APPROXIMATE cut lengths of the pattern parts. 2.) Drawing 5-4-7962 has
two sections labeled B-B. The section to the right, which is closest
to the drawing identification block, should be labeled Section C-C. 3.)
On drawing 5-4-7962 and Parts List PL5-4-7962, the following items are
DELETED and are not required to procure the Vestibule Fly items under
this synopsis/solicitation: Find Number 5(-1 & -2) Cord, Fibrous,
Nylon; Find Number 8 Pin, Tent Metal Type III; Find Number 9, Grommet,
Metallic, Rolled Rim, Size No. 0. 4.) On Parts List PL5-4-7962, under
the nomenclature for Find Number 3(-1 & -2) DELETE "Type XV" and
SUBSTITUTE "Type VIIIb". Also DELETE "Finnish per MIL-W-27265, Class
R". 5.) On Parts List PL5-4-7962 under the nomenclature for Find Number
12, DELETE "Size FF" and SUBSTITUTE "Size F for needle and bobbin". 6.)
On drawing 5-4-7962, the three reinforcements identified as Find Number
11 are depicted as being sewn to the body of the fly after the Middle
(5-4-7964) and End (5-4-7963) pattern pieces have been joined together.
These reinforcements MAY, as an alternate method of construction, be
pre-cut and pre-attached to the pattern pieces and then rejoined in the
feld seam operation depicted in Section B-B. 7.) On drawing 5-4-7962,
in Note 6, DELETE "tie overhand knot as shown" and replace with "tie an
overhand knot at one end of item 6 and a loop knot at the other end to
form a 6" loop". Except as stated herein, all data referenced on the
drawings under this combined synopsis/solicitation remain unchanged.
The due date for receipt of quotations remains 1530 hours (3:30 PM EST)
