This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
No. 60181-9-Q246 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be
awarded as a purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5191 Farm Supplies.
Small Business size is 100 employees. See Note 1. The solicitation
document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The solicitation item is as
follows: Native Seed Species for Habitat Restoration Projects 57B, 63,

be packaged separately (no premixed seed). 4. Seed test information
shall accompany each species. Certification shall include purity,
germination tests, % weed seed content, and seed lot number. 5. Furnish
and deliver F.O.B. to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife
Refuge, Commerce City, Colorado 6. Specify earliest delivery date. The
provision at FAR 52.212-1, instructions to Offerers Commercial Items,
and FAR Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, are
applicable to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract
Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and the clause at FAR 52.212-5,
Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or
Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
Evaluation of Commercial Items: The Government will award to the
responsible offeror based on price and earliest delivery date. Multiple
awards may be issued based on the results. Vendors wishing to respond
to this RFQ should provide this office with the following: Price quote
on letterhead for the requested items, correct remittance address, and
a completed copy of FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications Commercial Items. This form may be obtained from the
Contracting Officer by fax at 303/236-4791. The offeror agrees to hold
the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date
specified for the receipt of offers. Quotes are due no later than 4:00
p.m. (Local Time), April 15, 1999, and can be faxed to 303/236-4791.
