sole source, creation of digital catalogs and finding aids for five
record groups in the Alaska Technical Data Unit: a.) 3,900 Subject
Files; b.) 1,700 Project Files; c.) 800 NPR4 Files; d.) 1,300 Mineral
Files; e.) 500 Strategic Mineral Files. Vendor shall design a data base
suitable for bibliographic cataloging of the five collections utilizing
the MICROSOFT ACCESS relational database software; examine and analyze
each record item for critical bibliographic, geographic and subject
access data points, and enter information into apropriate database.
Physically transfer each file into the correct location in the new
shelving system located at the U.S. Geological Survey, 4200 University
Dr., Anchorage, AK, and provide an identifying label for each file or
group of files. Keep a daily log of work accomplished. Shipping costs
will be an evaluating factor. Services will be procured from Access
Information Associates, a small business located at 3701 E. Tudor Rd.,
Suite 208, Anchorage, AK 99507. The procurement will be accomplished
as a Commercial Item Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. This
advertisement will expire on April 14, 1999. All interested parties may
