POC Cindy Nguyen 303/969-7235 E-MAIL: click here to contact the
contracting officer, ccnguyen@dasc.doi.gov. The Department of the
Interior's National Business Center (NBC), Products and Services Group
is undertaking an initiative to establish a state-of-the-art systems
development environment at its Denver Office. This office hosts an
IBM-configured, mainframe-based Data Center. The framework for this
environment is the Denver Administrative System Architectural Reference
Model (DASARM). Information technology standards important to this
model include but are not limited to Open Database Connectivity,
Structured Query Language, and Common Object Request Broker
Architecture (CORBA). The fundamental objective of this development
environment is the web-enablement of the NBC's administrative systems.
The NBC intends to employ IBM's Component Broker or equal to satisfy
the CORBA standard. Therefore, the NBC requires assistance in planning
for a Component Broker implementation. An intensive planning session
is anticipated, during which the application of Component Broker to the
DASARM and ultimately to the target open/web development environment
would be thoroughly explored. The objective of the planning session is
to provide the NBC with a project plan for the development of an
open/web proof-of-concept application and a Statement of Work that
would effect the plan. Posted 03/30/99 (W-SN314519). (0089) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0048 19990402\D-0018.SOL)
