This acquisition will be Sole Source to York International Corporation,
11165 Knott Ave, Suite D, Cypress CA 90630. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only
Request for Proposal. A written Request for Proposal will not be
issued. The request for proposal document and contract incorporated
provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition
circular 90-44. The SIC code is 1711. The Television-Audio Support
Agency intends to procure the customization and upgrading of the
existing 240 ton York Centrifugal Chiller. The Contractor shall
engineer, furnish, install, document, test, and certify the York
Millennium Variable Speed Drive (VSD) with IEEE 519 electronic filter.
This liquid-cooled VSD will be retrofitted (added) to an existing 240
ton York Centrifugal Chiller. The contractor shall provide and install
equipment and accessories necessary to ensure automatic operation, with
local and remote control capabilities. All associated system software
shall be Year 2000 compliant. Work to include 1 year warranty on the
VSD retrofit, and from acceptance date, including labor and
workmanship. The work is to be accomplished at AFRTS-BC, 1363 Z Street,
Bldg 2730, March ARB CA 92518-2017. Currently all the HVAC equipment is
manufactured by, and under an extended warranty, with York
International until after Feb 2000. All proprietary rights are held by
York International. All changes must be compatible with the existing
York Centrifugal Chiller, model YT-C1 C3 C3-CK F S, allowing the
Government to maintain the warranty as it exists. Clauses 52.202-1
