survey is being conducted to identify firms to provide a WESCAM 16DS
gyro-stabilized pod and mount, integrate contractor furnished color
television camera and a government furnished (GFE) hyperspectral camera
system. The contractor shall be ready to functionally test and flight
qualify the assembly on a CS-337 aircraft by 31 Oct 99. The government
furnished hyperspectral system consists of: 1) one Galileo
(Raytheon/Amber) camera, 3-5 micron response; dimensions -- 6.75" long
x 5.67" wide x 5.10" high, weight 8.31 lbs. and 2) one Pacific
Advanced Technologies Image Multi-Spectral Sensor (IMSS); dimensions
12.25" long x 4.75" wide x 7" high, weight 5 lbs. The delivery date of
the WESCAM 16DS stabilized pod and mount is 30 days ARO, in place at
the contract facility. The delivery date of the integrated system is no
later than 31 October 1999. The delivered product will consist of an
integrated WESCAM pod, GFE sensor as described above, color TV camera;
a shipping container for the WESCAM pod; cabling for interconnecting
and operation of the unit in a laboratory or ground collection mode;
gimbal electronics with hand controller; and technical documentation
necessary for operations and deploying the system. The WESCAM
gyro-stabilized gimbal shall meet advertised manufacturers
specifications at delivery as demonstrated by laboratory operation, and
a CS-337 flight performance demonstration. The integration and
demonstration of the functional system, when complete, will provide the
Air Force with a system capable of operating in a fixed ground, mobile
ground, or airborne environment. Technical documentation suitable for
operation and deployment will be provided with the integrated system.
A firm-fixed-price-type contract is contemplated with a 6-month basic
contract period. Security clearances are not required. The applicable
SIC code and size standards are 3663/750. Conflict of Interest rules
may apply which may prohibit participation in related acquisitions.

American, HUBZone, or HBCU/MI. The government reserves the right to set
this acquisition aside based on the responses received. This is not a
solicitation, but a request for information. The response should
briefly discuss the following: ability to meet delivery requirement,
company background, experience, and company facilities. Any costs
incurred as a result of response to this announcement shall be borne by
the company and will not be charged to the Government. Phone calls will
not be accepted. Firms must respond to this announcement within 15 days
