The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials to remove the existing metal roof down to the structural deck, replacing deteriorated 2_ decking, applying a single ply vapor barrier and recovering the roof with 24 gauge tern coated stainless steel roofing material on Building 1504 at McChord AFB WA. Building 1504 houses the VORTAC serving McChord AFB and the FAA at SEATAC International and Olympia airports. A Notice to Proceed will be issued upon award of a contract for on site work to be performed between July 12, 1999 and August 1, 1999. All material submittals must be approved before commencement of on site work. All materials must be available for work to commence on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to minimize the impact on regional air traffic. The work site is in a security sensitive area. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be available on the Electronic Posting System web-site at http://www.eps.gov on or about April 14, 1999.
