Z -- REPAIR/REPLACE SLATE ROOF AT BLDG. 202 SOL 9011225900-00208 DUE 051099 POC T.C. Mitchell 301/504-8484 DESC: Supply all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supervision to repair and replace the roof on Building 202, off Powdermill rd. East, Beltsville, Maryland, 20705. Bld. 202 is a brick structure with a 6/12 pitch slate roofing system. Remove existing slate roofing system down to roof decking, including roof flashing kits, panning, pitch pockets, holding wire and their roof anchors, exhaust fans and any other obstacles, all wood louvers. Replace all rotted or deteriorated wood on the roofing systems (decking) and also rotted and deteriorated wood on all ornamental trim. The sizes and style shall be consistent with what is presently on the building because of its historical classification. Install all new industrial grade (16 guage) anodized aluminum louvers with bird and bug screen, color shall be white. Install new flashing kits and panning. Install EPDM roofing system on the flat roof and shall be coated and drain covers and screen installed. Install EPDM to built in gutters. Apply weather guard and 30lb felt paper to roof decking and install new Buckingham/Vermont slate to roof, install snow breakers and all new scuppers, boxes and downspouts. All work must be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work and specifications attached, USDA Special Conditions II, wage rate MD990057 mod. 0, applicable drawings and clauses. This job is to be completed within 60 days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures using Best Value. Magnitude of project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Only one site visit will be conducted. Site visit is scheduled for April 26, 1999, 1:30 p.m. at Building 202, off Powdermill rd. East, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. This procurement is set-aside for Emerging Small Business (ESB) concern/s. To qualify as an ESB, a small business concern's size must be no greater than $3.5 million annually for the last three years. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the quotation considered most advantageous to the government considering price and other factors, SIC code is 1761.
