This procurement is for the design, supply of parts, and installation of a replacement motor drive for the Propulsion Wind Tunnel (PWT) Facility Transfer Car at Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. This replacement shall duplicate the form, fit, and function of the existing system in PWT. The existing drive system consists of two 2-speed motors, speed reducers, and adjustable speed drive(s). The drive shall be capable of continuously delivering the required power to move the fully loaded transfer car at a shaft output speed of 62.5 rpm. The motors shall be 460 vac, 3-phase, 50 ft-lb torque minimum with speed range of 10.4 rpm to 62.5 rpm to output of gearbox. The speed reducer shall have a ratio of approximately 57.6:1, right-angle drive type, foot mounted. A special standard of responsibility shall apply to this solicitation. Contractors shall have experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of electric motors with adjustable speed drive in the 1 to 50horsepower range. Quantity -- 1 system.
