The following questions, answers, and clarifications are made to the RFQ: Q:) How many compressors are requested? A:) A package incorporating two 15-ton or two 20-ton compressors would do the required job. Q:) How many total tons of refrigeration? A:) The specifications call for 30 tons minimum. Q:) Why a titanium chiller? Why not purchase a standard fresh water packaged chiller of the same type as is used for building air conditioners and add a titanium plate and frame heat exchanger? A:) NMFS is open to alternative solutions that meet the requirements. Q:) Does the chiller need to be skid-mounted: A:) Yes, contractor needs to provide the skid.
