products of Bruker Optics of Bruker Spectrospin to ensure full optical,
mechanical, and electrical integration of all parts and components in
existing National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST)Bruker
Model RFS-100FT Raman system. NIST intends to negotiate for a brand
name Bruker Model R514-N diode-pumped Nd YAG laser, 1064 nm, 2-Watt
with the following components:(a)Bruker Model R272-03 fiber optics
laser cable for coupling to Bruker Raman Microscope; (b)all required
mounting parts plus components for full integration with RFS-100 bench
for 785 nm and 1064 nm excitation; and(c)installation. Commercial
warranty shall be included in the quoted price. Delivery is FOB,
destination Gaithersburg, MD,and is required 60 days after contract
award. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for brand name only
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. FAR clauses and
provisions referenced in this solicitation may be downloaded from
Internet site http://www.arnet.gov/far. This announcement constitutes
the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
53SBNB960066 and is being issued as a Request for Quotations(RFQ). The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. See numbered Note 1. The
Standard Industrial Classification(SIC)code is 3826. The small business
size standard is 500 employees. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, is applicable to this
acquisition. The Government will award a fixed price purchase order
resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer
conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the
Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors
will be used to evaluate offers:(1)Technical Capability, (2)Past
Performance, and (3) Price. Factors 1 and 2, when combined, are
significantly more important than price. All responsible sources may
submit a quote which shall be considered by the Government. All
offerors shall submit the following with their quote:(1)technical
description and/or product literature;(2)a list of three contracts
completed during the past 3 years for identical items with the
following information:name of contracting activity,contract
number,total contract value,contracting officer,and telephone number;
and (3) a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications -- Commerical Items(available at the
Internet site www.nist.gov/admin/od/contract/contract.htm). The
following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition:52.212-4 Contract Terms
and Condidtions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5(a)-Commercial Items.
