Division's homepage, www.crane.navy.mil. The Navy requires four (4)
bottom mounted hydrophone systems to provide real time measurements of
ambient underwater noise in a fresh water lake with a maximum depth of
120 feet. Offerors shall provide offers on two configurations: (1) a
moored buoy that transmits the ambient noise measurement to a test
barge via standard sonobuoy RF transmitter over a maximum distance of
2500 feet; (2) a hardwired hydrophone/preamp connected directly to the
test barge at a maximum distance of 2500. Only one configuration shall
be procured, and award will be based on best value to the Government,
including evaluation of past performance. The system shall have a
dynamic input range of 40 to 160 dB microPa, a sensitivity of 160
dBVolts/microPa from 5 Hz to 40000 Hz. The electrical noise level shall
be less than 130 dBV. The system shall operate at least 12 test days (8
hours per day) without recharging. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination
to Naval Surface Warfare Center (NAVSURFWARCENDIV), Crane Division,
Crane, IN 47522-5001 within 90 days after date of award. The Request

which is located at http://www.crane.navy.mil on approximately 22 April
1999. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be
