The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will award a one-year extension to existing contract No. DACA45-95-D-0017 with Mitretek Systems, a not-for-profit company, 7525 Colshire Drive, McLean, VA 22102, on a sole source basis. The Contractor shall provide technical assistance and support for the development of an ACC contribution to the DOD's streamlining plan and customer service standards definition by documenting known and proven techniques for cost-saving and by identifying and evaluating new opportunities for cost-savings, as they may be or are available in the context of the DOD's environmental programs. Specifically, the contractor will assist the Air Force Air Combat Command to identify and or document cost savings and streamlining opportunities potentially available at the base/installation level and on an intra and inter-programmatic level. The Contractor will assist the Air Force Air Combat Command by increasing private sector partnerships to accelerate development of innovative technologies, reforming contract management, incorporating environmental justice in all operations, performing further analysis and development of the accelerated cleanup program, performing design and remedial action peer reviews, and other associated cost benefits.
