material, and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including,
but not limited to, the following Base Items: 1) 65' WYTL Watertight
Hatch Replacement. 2) Renewal of Bow Bulwark. 3) Remove, Inspect and
Reinstall Propeller Shaft. 4) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings. 5)
Remove and Reinstall Propeller. 6) Perform Minor Repair and
Reconditioning of Propeller. 7) Clean and Test Grid Cooler. 8)
Re-locate Grid Coolers for Both Ship Service Diesel Generators. 9)
Clean MDE, SSDG, and SSB Exhaust Stacks. 10) Preserve the Transducer
Hull Ring and Install the V850 Transducer. 11) Renew Fan Coil Units.
12) Renew Valves. 13) Renew Potable Water Tank Sight Glass Fixtures.
14) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks. 15) Overhaul Steering Gear
System. 16) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder. 17) Clean and
Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection & Holding Tank. 18) Clean,
Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank. 19) Renew Corrosion
Preventive Zinc Anodes. 20) Provide Temporary Messing. 21) CPO
Stateroom Overhaul. 22) Provide Temporary Berthing. 23) Provide
Temporary Logistics. 24) Routine Drydocking. 25) GFP report in
accordance with solicitation Section H. Option Items include but are
not limited to: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Fabricate and Install Propeller
Seal Retainer. 3) Renew Shaft Covering. 4) Straighten Shaft. 5) Renew
Shaft Sleeves. 6) Renew Rudder Bearing(s). 7) Preserve Underwater
Body. 8) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank. 9)
Preserve Potable Water Tank. 10) Provide Additional Temporary Messing.
11) Ultrasonic Testing. 12) Provide Additional Temporary Berthing. 13)
Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. 14) Composite Labor Rate. 15)
Lay Days. Vessel's homeport is Bayonne, New Jersey. Vessel length is 65
foot "C" Class Harbor Tug. Vessel's availability is for thirty-five
(35) calendar days, starting August 9, 1999. The place of performance
for this vessel is restricted to no open water transits and is
restricted to the protected waters of the cutter's assigned area of
operations. The boundary lines/points in the geographic restriction
areas are: Rhode Island/Connecticut border in the north and Hudson
River to Troy Locks, New York, District One and District Five boundary
at Toms River, New Jersey, in the south. There will be a
non-refundable charge of $100.00 required, in the form of a certified
check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard, for requested
drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at
300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available
for this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is part of the
Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or around April 26, 1999. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the
