P -- SCRAP WOODS FOR RECYLING OR DISPOSAL SOL 90841001 DUE 022699 POC Contact Ronnie Payad at (209) 982-2421 0R Michael Delcima at(209) 982-2405 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation No. is 90481001. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This requirement is unrestricted. Proposals solicited are for the "PURCHASE" or "PAID REMOVAL" of scrap woods generated by Defense Distribution San Joaquin, Tracy and Sharpe Facilities located at Tracy and Lathrop, California respectively. These facilities are physically separated by 12 miles and are located in central California. The current stockpiles at each site are estimated at 1,000,000 Lbs each. Scrap woodpiles are composed of pallets, crates, spools and other various sizes and types of lumber. Contractor has the option of grinding or chipping woods at site or haul scraps as-is. The Government will provide water as Government Furnished Property for dust control. Connection to he existing water lines will be at no cost to the Government. Contractor is responsible for the work sites clean up of debris generated during the performance of the service. Proposals can be for a "Sales Contract" or for "Paid Disposal Contract", or combination of both. Offers to purchase the scrap woods must mark their proposal Schedule 1. Offers for paid disposal must mark their proposal Schedule 2. Offers offering both purchase and paid disposal must mark their proposal Schedule 3. Offers must be in the following format: Tracy Facility, Qty: 1,000,000, U/I: Lb, Unit Price:_____ Amount;______ Sharpe Facility, Qty: 1,000,000, U/I: Lb, Unit Price:______Amount:_____ .Award will be made to the responsible offeror that offers terms most advantageous to the Government. Award will be on "all or none basis". A site visit is schedule on 20 Apr 99, 10:00 AM. The meeting place will be the Lobby of the Contracting Office, Bldg.
