The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) contemplates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the implementation of the Adolescent Reproductive Health Activity. The contractor will be required to provide technical assistance and award grants to Non-governmental Organizations. USAID anticipates the award of a 5 year contract, and is in the process of obtaining approval of an extension of the activity from September 30, 2001 to September 30, 2004. If approval is not received prior to release of the RFP, offerors will be advised to propose two budgets; one for the first 2 years of the contract and an option for the remaining 3 years. This Activity seeks to improve reproductive health and enhance the transition to adulthood of young Jamaicans between the ages of 10-19, by increasing the availability of relevant information and quality services that can motivate and enable young people to take positive actions to improve their reproductive health status.
