Contracting Officer, (202) 707-8610 The Library of Congress seeks a
contract for the design, fabrication and installation of five (5) cases
for the Whittall Pavilion in the Thomas Jefferson Building of the
Library of Congress. The cases shall be designed to meet the safety,
security, conservation, Architect of the Capitol aesthetic, and
environmental requirements prescribed by the Library of Congress. These
cases will be placed into existing built-in cabinets and shall be
designed to be adaptable and easy to use. These factors are extremely
important based on the value and potential adjustment to the exhibits
currently scheduled for this space which includes extremely valuabe
musical instruments. The cases to be designed, fabricated and installed
under this contract must be in place before September 1, 1999.
Accordingly, time is of the essence in the completion of this
requirement. Solicitation will be issued on or about April 15, 1999.
There will be a site-visit shortly after release of the RFQ.
Information will be provided as to time and place of site-visit in the
RFQ. Requests must be in writing on firm's letterhead, must reference
