The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to the National Association for Children of Alcoholics in Rockville, MD. Work under this simplfied acquisition shall assist substance abuse treatment facilities to provide intervention and education programs for children of their clients, age preschool through grade 12. The contractor shall: (1) develop and convene a meeting of the workgroup responsible for project oversight; (2) develop and convene a consensus conference to review and discuss promising programs and materials for children of substance abusing parents;(3) conduct and provide support for a pilot test to reach out to centers offering treatment to substance-abusing parents and (4) produce a "Promising Practices" manual and make recommendations for a national distribution plan.
