S -- GUARD SERVICES SOL 1999N00114 DUE 052199 POC Margie Usry, Contract Specialist, (770) 488-2699 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires security guard services on a 24-hour, 7-day per week basis for three Government owned facilities and guard services as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW)for several GSA leased facilities in Atlanta and Lawrenceville, Georgia. Services shall include but not be limited to (1) monitoring and responding to building mechanical and electronic fire alarm systems and electronic security systems; (2) participating in fire and other evacuation procedures; (3) providing unarmed and armed security of the facilities and boundary perimeters of the facilities; (4) directing and/or controlling access of authorized service personnel, Government employees, and visitors to owned and leased facilities, including operating metal detectors and x-ray equipment, (5) issuing and controlling photo identification badges and visitor/temporary badges; (6) performing functions as building access monitors at leased properties including theft and incident reports; (7) assisting in the prevention of loss, theft, or damage to Government property; and (8) performing other designated guard functions, as specified in the SOW. The CDC anticipates this procurement to be for a base period of one year with four additional one-year option periods commencing on/about Oct 1, 1999. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7381 and the business size standard if $9.0 million. The Government is soliciting using the policies in FAR Part 12.
