has a requirement for 137 Marine Fenders consisting of the following
types and quantities: (1) 3'x5' Sea Guard or equal Marine Fenders with
25 of = in. galvanized open-link chain and 3 -- > in. shackles,
screw type steel, galvanized on each end -- 100 each; (2) 4'x12' Sea
Guard or equal Marine Fenders -- 12 each; (3) 5'x10' Sea Guard or equal
Marine Fenders -- 8 each; (4) 6'x12' Sea Cushion or equal Marine
Fenders with Chain and Aircraft Tire net -- 6 each. Each 5 X10 Sea
Guard or equal and 6 X12 Sea Cushion or equal fender shall be outfitted
with a 100 long -- 5 in. -- nylon line (12 strand, braided with a
thimble eye on one end) and a 1-1/8 in. -- anchor shackle (galvanized
steel) on each end. For Marine Fenders of equal design, offerors shall
submi t the specifications fabricated by other manufactures. In
accordance with Transportation Acquisition Manual (TAR) 1211.104-70,
the use of brand name or equal descriptions in this solicitation is
intended to promote competition by encouraging the offering of products
that are equal in all material respects to the brand name products
cited. Fenders shall be delivered FOB destination to U.S. Coast Guard
yard, Curtis Bay, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD, Building 58
Industrial Dept. All fenders shall be delivered 60 days after receipt
of order. The applicable SIC Code is 5088. The size standard is 100
employees. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall
be considered. The solicitation and any document related to this
procurement will be available on the Internet; these documents will be
available on a WWW server, which may be accessed using Web browsers.
