Command intends to procure a Ping Intercept Passive Ranging System
(PIPRS) under a firm-fixed-price contract with Sonartech of Sydney,
Australia, via the Foreign Comparative Testing Program (FCT). The U.S.
Navy will test and evaulate through at-sea testing the PIPRS radius of
curvature ranging capability against the requirements of the AN/WLY-1
Operational Requirements as modified for application to SSN 688 and
Trident class submarines. The Base Year (2nd Quarter of FY00) is one
