U.S. Army CECOM, CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5008

58 -- LRAS3 OPTICAL BENCH ASSEMBLY DUE 043099 POC Major Mark Conley, 703-704-1941 E-MAIL: click here to contact the project leader via e-mail, mconley@nvl.army.mil. The U S Army CECOM, Project Manager Night Vision/Reconnaissance, Surveillance & Target Acquisition is conducting a world wide market survey of vendors who shall provide the U.S. Army with the optical bench assembly for the LRAS3. The optical bench assembly must be a non-developmental item and must mate with the LRAS3. Vendors must have broad experience in tri-wavelength reflective and refractive optics (thermal imaging, day TV, and eye safe laser rangefinder optics) as well as adequate fabrication and test facilities to warrant pre-production testing and limited procurement of optical bench assembly. This acquisition falls under the Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) Program. The FCT is a congressionally mandated program that demonstrates the willingness of U S to purchase foreign items meeting technical requirements. For consideration, all respondents must individually address each of the above elements. Data to include prior testing of reflective front-end optics and refractive back-end optics for thermal imaging day TV and eye safe laser rangefinder systems must be furnished to support responsiveness to the non-developmental effort. Support a White Paper to the Government no later than 30 April 1999. Submit your information to PM NV/RSTA, ATTN: SFAE-IEWS-NV (Major Mark Conley), 10221 Burbeck Road, Bldg. 399, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5806. The Government will provide for pre-production testing and resultant acquisition of the assemblies. Note: 26 Posted 04/02/99 (W-SN315785). (0092)
