This is an unrestricted procurement for the acquisition of commerical items under simplified acquisition procedures; the standard industrial code is 3692 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. Battery system, nonchargeable, NSN 6135-01-036-3495, for application with AN/PRC-119 Sincgars Radio, socket terminal type, lithium/sulfur dioxide, 24 volt, high temperature storageability, low temperature discharge capability, equipped with safety feature to preclude an explosion, BA-5590/U. MIL-PRF-49471 (no fuelgage) applies although research has shown there are commercial batteries on the market which meet these specifications. The Government intends to evaluate offers by technical capability, delivery, and price.
