This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is M00681-99-Q-M11104. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-11 and DAC 91-13. This is an unrestricted procurement for the acquisition of commerical items under simplified acquisition procedures; the standard industrial code is 3692 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. Battery system, nonchargeable, NSN 6135-01-036-3495, for application with AN/PRC-119 Sincgars Radio, socket terminal type, lithium/sulfur dioxide, 24 volt, high temperature storageability, low temperature discharge capability, equipped with safety feature to preclude an explosion, BA-5590/U. MIL-PRF-49471 (no fuelgage) applies although research has shown there are commercial batteries on the market which meet these specifications. The Government intends to evaluate offers by technical capability, delivery, and price. All responsible sources may submit an offer by providing descriptive literature of the product you are offering along with a description of warranty, a statement regarding the ability to meet delivery on or before 13 April 1999, past performance of at least two recent references with dollar value where the contractor has sold the same products, and completion of clauses FAR 52.212-3, DFAR 252.212-7000, and DFAR 252.225-7035. The Government will evaluate the technical capability of the product to meet the Government's needs to include warranty, delivery, and price. All Contractors submitting an offer are reminded that you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database to be considered for award.
