The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a sole source contract to the Institute of Energy Problems of Chemical Physics to synthesize a new energetic media by embedding the nanometer size particles into organic and inorganic matrices. The synthesis requires a detailed characterization of the structural and physical/chemical properties of the embedded based particles. Due to its unique knowledge of the synthesis process, the Institute of Energy Problems of Chemical Physics is the only organization capable of performing this effort. Contemplated period of performance is 12 months.
