NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCES AWARD TO THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO, (WASC9-986) Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source award to the University of Idaho, Hagerman Fish Culture Experiment Station (HFCES). Purpose of contract is to conduct study and furnish a report to the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC). Study is on captive salmon broodstock and will determine the effects of constant and variable dietary protein and energy intakes on post-release fitness of juvenile chinook salmon. The study will help NWFSC develop diets for the captive rearing of salmons stocks listed under the Endangered Species Act. The HFCES currently performs similar research on salmon stocks as part of its mission and has all personnel, facilities, fish hatchery including captive brood stock, and supplies to perform the needed research. Period of performance date of award through 03/31/00. Potential sources expressing an interest must show capabilities (with similar facilities), experience performing similar fish dietary research, and qualifications (Ph.D. level only).
