The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price contract to provide all labor, materials, equipment and services for a Contractor under the Small Business Administration 8(a) Program to Construct a Administrative Support Services Building Addition at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Marine Water Quality Laboratory, 27 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, Rhode Island. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: THIS PROCUREMENT IS BEING CONDUCTED COMPETITIVELY AMOUNG 8(A) CONTRACTORS WHO ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE SIX STATES OF REGION I (MAINE, NEW HAMPSHIRE, VERMONT, MASSACHUSETTS, RHODE ISLAND AND CONNECTICUT). The new building will be two story and approximately 9,720 gross square feet. The contract shall include all appurtenance services and installations to the building as shown on the drawings and specifications, as well as the site development and improvement work shown on the drawings and specifications. The project is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. It is estimated that the solicitation will be ready for issuance around April 16, 1999 with proposals due around May 26, 1999.
