PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, transportation and supervision necessary for the project Install New Floating Dock/Miscellaneous ATON Repairs at Long Island Sound. The work includes the following: Coast Guard Search and Rescue Detachment, Fishers Island, NY: Remove and dispose of existing 10' x 30' timber float, two steel guide piles and 20' steel brow. Furnish and install four steel guide piles and a new 8' x 40' concrete floating dock. Furnish and install a new 4' x 20' aluminum brow. Furnish and install approximately 80' of aluminum "speed rail" type handrail along wharf face. Ram Island Reef Daybeacon, Fishers Island Sound, CT: Ram Island Reef is located in position 41-19-00.502 N latitude and 071-57-19.272 W longitude approximately 0.5 NM offshore of Noank, CT. The work includes fabricating a 43' steel monopole tower and installing it on an offshore ledge in approximately 5' of water. Installation will require rock socketing into the ledge and placing concrete to set the monopole. Sandy Point Breakwater Light, New Haven Harbor, CT: Sandy Point Breakwater light is a 10 ft tall 5 ft x 5 ft steel pipe tower on a 8 ft x 8ft x 4ft concrete foundation located at the end of Sandy Point Breakwater near West Haven, CT. The light is 0.5 NM offshore and is approximately located at 41-15.742 N latitude and 072-55.082 W longitude. The work includes leveling the tower and foundation by lifting the entire structure, repositioning existing stone riprap, adding new riprap, and resetting the foundation. Southport Light #7, Southport Harbor, CT: Southport Light #7 is a 15 ft tall 5 ft x 5 ft steel pipe tower on a 10 ft x 10 ft concrete and granite rock foundation which us supported by a stone rubble mound to the bottom. The light is 0.5 NM offshore of Southport, CT marking the channel approaching Southport Harbor. The approximate position is 41-07.318 N latitude and 073-17.234 W longitude. The work includes providing new pieces of cut granite stone to replace a missing section of stone in the foundation and providing additional rip rap to stabilize the foundation. MARINE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WORK. Completion time is 90 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost of this work is between $100,000 and $250,000.
