NASA/SSC intends to purchase one (1) each of the following items from MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc: Vega Multi-Process Development License for IRIX, P/N VG-DEV-MP; Large Area Database Management Module, P/N VG-LADBM; Vega VCR Module, P/N VG-VCR; VG-DEV-MP Annual Support, P/N VG-DEV-MP-SPT; VG-LADBM Annual Support, P/N VG-LADBM-SPT; Vega VCR Support, P/N VG-VCR-SPT; MultiGen II Pro Executable License for IRIX, P/N MIIE-PRO-FLT-S; MultiGen II TerrianPro Iption for IRIX; P/N MIIO-TPRO-FLT-S; MultiGen II Pro Annual Support; P/N MIIE-PRO-FLT-S-SPT; MultiGen II TerrainPro Annual Support; P/N MIIO-TPRO-FLT-S-SPT; Vega Special Effects Module, P/N VG-SPEC; and VG-SPEC Annual Support, P/N VG-SPEC-SPT. A Justification for NonCompetitive Procurement is included in the file. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have fifteen (15) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responsible sources shall submit a proposal to include: descriptive literature of the offered products, prices, availability, warranty, invoice terms, and FOB point. In addition, all responding firms shall include their Taypayer Identification and Cage Code Numbers. Responses received after the fifteen (15) days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has beenappointed.
