70 -- COMPUTER PARTS AND SOFTWARE SOL M00681-99-Q-M28302 DUE 041399 POC Carol Amano at 760-725-8134/fax 760-725-4346 This is a modification to a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial computer parts and software which appeared on 25 March 1999. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued; the solicitation number is M00681-99-Q-M28302. Delete the statement that no substitution would be accepted for computer parts identified as items 1, 2, 4, and 8; contractors may propose any products, substitutions, or upgrades which will meet or exceed the Government's needs. For item 1, the P2B motherboard should have BX or VX chipsets. For item 2, the microprocessor includes a fan. For items 10 and 11, delete the Microsoft part numbers; contractors may break up software packages and offer whatever meets the Government's needs. Software shall be OEM CD version media software with electronic licenses, and exclude documentation, manuals, software maintenance, and upgrades. Software shall not be loaded to the hard drive. The Government operates a computer repair facility and intends to utilize these items as replacement repair parts, therefore no assembly of any line items are to be made. Quantities are estimates only; there is no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity but the Government anticipates ordering appx 250-500 of each line item per week. The Government anticipates a firm-fixed priced requirements contract with various quantities and deliveries over appx a six month period.
