The National Park Service, Harpers Ferry Center, intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with Oceaneering Advanced Technologies Group, 16201 Trade Zone Avenue, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, 20774, to provide design analysis engineering, fabrication of watertight, and temperature and pressure control containers to encase historic documents for display at Independence National Historical Park. Under a previous contract with the Library of Congress, the Contractor provided precision design, engineering and fabrication of an artifact chamber affording a high level of climate control for historic documents. It is the intention of the National Park Service to use the design engineering system previously developed for the Top Treasures Artifact Chamber, as a basis to design, engineer, and fabricate the control containers for the historic documents at Independence National Historical Park.
