The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC has a requirement for Engineering Support for Technical and Support Services to the Project Manager for Mines, Countermines and Demolitions (PM-MCD)on the antenna for the M152 Remote Activation Munitions Systems (RAMS), for the integration of a universal booster for RAMS Type B demolition receiver and for the design of an acoustic sensor for the RAMS Type B receiver for remote initiation of the receiver. RAMS, M152, consists of a Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) pocket-size radio transmitter and family of receivers for remote activation of demolition and sabotage devices. The system is similar to the existing M122 Demolition Firing Device but offers reduced size and enhanced flexibility in application. RAMS will be employed by Special Operations Forces (SOF). The RAMS systems consists of Type "A" receiver capable of initiating electrical blasting cap and secondary explosives. The work performed under this purchase order would be designated as ADP II or III position; therefore contractor personnel performing under this contract are required to have personnel security investigation. If adverse information is reflected as a result of this investigation, the contractor shall be responsible for obtaining employees that are suitable of working in a sensitive position. If successful investigations cannot be obtained within 90 days after the contract award, action may be taken to terminate said purchase order for DEFAULT. Due to duplication cost, the Government plans to utilize Campagnuolo Associates, Potomac, MD for this effort.
