Petrzilka, (732)323-2067 This is a follow on announcement for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System which was previously synopsized in the CBD 9 February 1999. The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking sources to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, test and support an Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. There is no solicitation available at this time, however a DRAFT solicitation is expected to be released on or about 14 April 1999. Comments from industry are encouraged at that time. Federal Expressed copies of the DRAFT RFP will be available at the contractors expense. All interested parties shall submit a faxed request to the attention of Ms. Barbara Petrzilka via facsimile (732-323-4822) and shall include the following information: Federal Express Account Number, Point of Contact at the Contractors facility including phone number and address. Depending on the length of the comment cycle stemming from the DRAFT RFP, the formal RFP is expected to be issued early MAY 1999. NAWCAD Lakehurst will synopsize any formal contract action in the CBD prior to its release. This notice is not a solicitation of offers and the Government is not liable for the costs for any activity associated with a response to this announcement. The DRAFT RFP will contain technical data subject to the Export Control Act. This information may only be released to individuals or enterprises that have been certified by the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC).
