R -- ENGINEERING INVESTIGATION SERVICES AND SPARE PARTS FOR NAVY-WIDE AIRCRAFT PLATFORMS SOL N00421-99R-1538 DUE 050599 POC RANDALL JOHNSTON (301)757-2618 and PAT CORNETT, (301)757-2607 WEB: NAVAIR Contracts Homepage, http://www.navair.navy.mil/contracts. E-MAIL: Randall Johnston, Contract Specialist, johnstonrs2@navair.navy.mil. SOURCES SOUGHT The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is actively surveying the vendor community to see if a Blanket Purchase Agreement with a GSA schedule commercial pricing arrangement is a viable contract vehicle for its Engineering Investigation (EI) Program effort. Presently, NAVAIR works concurrently with Jacksonville, Cherry Point and North Island Navy aviation depots to document and track engineering investigations for routine, safety and mishap aircraft issues for all Navy aviation platforms in the fleet. NAVAIR is requesting firms who have or have the potential to provide commercial pricing and the ability to establish a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract to submit a proposal. NAVAIR will use a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract vehicle to place orders against each successful GSA Schedule. The BPA will allow NAVAIR to cover any necessary EI issues that current contract vehicles may not be able to provide. Proposals submitted shall include two volumes: a Technical Volume I demonstrating the firms technical ability to perform EI and a Cost Volume II that demonstrates commercial pricing potential and the ability to obtain a GSA Schedule. If a GSA Schedule is not already established, the offeror shall provide the ability to obtain one and pricing information. All proposals shall be sent to : Contracts, NAVAIRSYSCOM, Bldg. No.: 441, Unit 07, 21983 Bundy Road, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127. All questions regarding this effort shall be directed to Randy Johnston at johnstonrs2@navair.navy.mil or telephone (301) 757-2618 or Pat Cornett at cornettpa@navair.navy.mil or telephone (301) 757-2607 and/or fax (301) 757-8959. Proposals are due no later than 05 May 1999 at 3:00 p.m. EST. NOTE: FIRMS WHO ALREADY HAVE ESTABLISHED GSA SCHEDULES THAT HAVE SERVICES THAT FIT THE LEVEL-OF-EFFORT MAY SUBMIT A COPY WITH THEIR COST PROPOSAL Posted 04/06/99 (W-SN316884). (0096)
