The Federal Bureau of Prisons requires a small business contractor to construct two unit management complex in-fills between existing dormitories, at FCI Ashland, Kentucky. Each new building is 1344 s.f., and construction shall consist of the following: demolition work to include four existing dormers and alteration work at the pass thru areas in the existing dorm units to the new complex additions; site work to include regrading and seeding the disturbed areas; the removal of HVAC equipment, concrete pad, chain link fence, gate, and concrete pavement. The project shall be completed within 275 days after the notice to proceed is issued. A single award will be made based on price. Detailed specifications and drawings will be included with the solicitation document. The magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The projected issuance date is 04/28/99, with a projected bid opening date of 05/27/99. The sic code for this project is 1542.
