The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials and equipment to provide trash and debris removal services for the Main Justice Building located in the District of Columbia. Contractor requirements will include: Install one (1) stationary compactor with a capacity of twenty (20) cubic yards. The hopper of the compactor unit shall have a capacity of approximately two (2) cubic yards. Install one (1) open top container with a capacity of twenty (20) cubic yards. Any equipment used to transport the compactor or open top debris container cannot exceed 10'3" in height, to include container material, NO EXCEPTIONS. The compactor system must meet all OSHA safety requirements and local safety ordinances. Materials designated as recyclable are not included in this contract. The Government will pay dumping fees separately from removal fees. Selection of a certified disposal facility shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Contractors will need to have the ability to be bonded and insured. A site visit will be required by all respective bidders, with the time of the visit to be specified in the RFP. The period of performance of this requirement will be 60 months, to include a base year plus four one year option periods. Award will only be made to one company or institution under this solicitation. Estimated issue date is May 11, 1999, with a due date for receipt of proposals 30 days after issuance.
