Aviation Warfighting Simulation Center: Design-build RFP for approximately 65,000 square foot, single story Army Aviation Simulation Center to incorporate state-of-the art computer systems. Approximately half of the building will be a clear span open bay area to house simulators and support functions including a semi-trailer loading dock. The remainder of the facility will be primarily demountable partitions on access flooring for classroom areas. Some hardwalled office areas and mechanical/electrical support areas are required around the perimeter of this area. Two 100-person auditoriums are required with fixed seating. Exterior of the building will be brick with standing seam metal roof. Sitework will include parking, access drives, landscaping and irrigation. Bid documents are available on or about May 3, 1999. Estimated cost of work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Requests for plans and specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a prime contractor or a subcontractor. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium.
