E-MAIL: Ed Rice, ed.rice@ellsworth.af.mil. PROTECTIVE COATINGS MAINTENANCE -- This is a requirements type contract for protective coatings maintenance. The work covered by this Statement Of Work consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, supervision, quality control and administration to provide interior and exterior protective coatings for various base facilities in accordance with terms and conditions of this contract. Buildings could be occupied during painting operations. The contractor shall also paint non-structural surfaces in accordance with specifications and applicable manufacturer printed specifications. A list of required work includes but is not limited to painting partial and complete exteriors and trim, sandblasting, water blasting, repainting of fire systems, striping of parking lots, cross walks, roadways, painting street arrows, painting airfield, runway and taxi ways, etc. In addition, the work includes partial and complete interiors and trim, taping -- be-ding texturing walls and ceilings as required, repair and shop support, and installing government furnished vinyl wall coverings, etc. Work will be identified by contract monitor and issued as a Shop Support (SS) work order. SS work will be completed within seven workdays. All work will be accomplished on Ellsworth AFB, SD or its satellites. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 per year. The performance period will begin 15 Sept 1999 and continue for 365 days with 4 concurrent option periods (If Exercised). This action is full and open competition both large and small business. Evaluation of this solicitation will be based on past performance being more important than price. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government.
