Command intends to negotiate a modification to contract No.
N00019-97-C-0046 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned
subsidiary of the Boeing Company, for the redesign of the Stabilator
Trim Actuator. The Boeing Company is the only known source capable of
accomplishing this effort. Parties interested in subcontracting
opportunities should contact Samantha Siedoff at (314) 233-4048.
Current actuators will be updated to the new version and any failed
units in the fleet returned for repair will also be upgraded. The
redesigned actuators will be incorporated into all subsequent
production aircraft. The incorporation into the fleet shall be
performed on an attrition basis as preferred spare replacement by the
