Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to procure two (2) each command units and ten (10) each transponders for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Command units to meet the following: (a) portable water resistant case, (b) operates on 120, 60 Hz power or batteries, (c) transmits all commands and custom command capability with other units, (d) ranging mode of any frequency between 7.0 and 30 kHz and receive in same range in 0.5 kHz increments; operational frequency selectable by the user, (e) one (1) mile minimum range, (f) range accuracy +/- 1.6 ft, (g) acoustic command/ranging transducer with minimum 50 ft of cable, (h) operating depth minimum 1,000 ft, and (i) omni-directional. Transponders to meet the following: (a) operating depth minimum 1,000 ft, (b) one (1) mile minimum range, (c) range accuracy +/- 1.6 ft, (d) omni-directional, (e) ranging mode of any frequency between 7.0 and 40 kHz and receive in same range in 0.5 kHz increments; operational frequency selectable by the user, (f) operates one (1) year on AA or 9-volt batteries, and (g) small and light weight with easy mounting. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. This acquisition will be made using FAR Parts 12 and 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Simplified Acquisition respectively. If the RFQ is pulled from NECO, a request for the RFQ still must be sent to FISCPS to ensure any/all amendments are mailed to all sources.
