Technology (NIST) has a requirement for 2 each Automatic Low Level
Alpha/Beta Sample Counters meeting the following specifications: These
instruments shall be provided as stand alone, turn key systems capable
of low level measurements of alpha and beta emitting radionuclides.
Alpha and beta detection shall be accomplished via industry standard
methods capable of maintaining stable low background count rates.
Sample counting and analysis shall be performed in a fully automatic
mode with the capability of automatic data storage and reporting. The
instruments shall be fully automated and computer controlled with built
in quality assurance and calibration features. Each system shall also
facilitate the processing of batches of samples, up to 100 at a time if
desired, while unattended. All software and hardware components shall
be certified as fully year 2000 compliant. The requirement also
includes installation, training, manuals, acceptance testing and a one
year warranty. F.O.B. Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Required
