Standards and Tachnology (NIST) has a requirement for 2 each automatic
low-level alpha/beta sample counters meeting the following
specifications: 1)They shall be two identical systems which shall be
alike in specification and performance; 2)fully year 2000 compliant;
3)Each system shall be "turnkey" stand alone systems; 4)System
performance shall meet performance requirements for normal
environmental conditions -- Power supply 115-125V @ 60 Hz,room
temperature 16-27 degrees C, and relative humidity 30-70 percent;
5)Each instrument shall be self contained and semi-portable; 6)Complete
instruction manuals shall be supplied; 7)One year warranty;
8)Installation and training shall be included. There is also an option
to purchase a complete set of source calibration standards for use in
system calibration,including an alpha source standard and modification
or adapters permitting sample loading and counting of up to 100
samples/sample holders. Detailed specifications are given in the
Request for Quotation. F.O.B. Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Required Delivery Time is 90 days after award. This is a 100 percent
set-aside for small business. The acquisition method shall be a Request
for Quotation with the estimated award date being April 13, 1999.
