The U.S. Embassy Lagos, Nigeria and U.S. Embassy Office in Abuja, Nigeria, will release via the internet a solicitation for the operation and management of local guard services in order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain order, protect life, deter criminal and terrorist attacks against employees, dependents, and property. The contractor will provide all equipment, management, administration and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in this contract. Services will be performed in both Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. The estimated unarmed guard-hour requirements for all labor categories is 1,031,476. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Furthermore, it is anticipated during the course of the contract, that some of the number of hours and operations currently performed in Lagos will shift to Abuja, once the Embassy relocates to Abuja. This relocation is presently scheduled to take place in the latter part of Calendar Year (CY) 2001. The solicitation is for one base year and four one-year periods at the option of the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Telephone requests will not be honored. The Government plans to issue the solicitation via the internet on the Statebuy Interactive Platform (SIP). You can SUBSCRIBE to receive e-mail notifications and other services through this SIP site. This solicitation will be made available to U.S. and foreign firms exclusively via the Internet.
