Contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, supervision and equipment to repair and replace the roof at Stoddert Elementary School, 29th and Calvert Street NW, Washington, DC as follows: The project consists of repairing and/or replacing two roofs. Roof "A" is a slate roof and shall be repaired by replacing approximately 15% of the damaged, missing, broken, and chipped slate tiles with matching new ones. All flashing, gutters, and downspouts shall be replaced in-kind. Damaged or rotten wood trim around the cupola shall be replaced. Remaining wood trim shall be stripped and primed. The entire cupola shall be painted. Provide bird screens over wood louvers in the attic. Batt insulation should be provided throughout the attic space. Roof "B" is an elastomeric (EPDM) roof and shall be replaced in-kind along with the insulation. All metal flashing, gutters, and downspouts shall be replaced in-kind. Screens shall be provided over gutters to prevent debris for clogging the water path. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
