ATTENTION: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement
for 3-D Simulation of New High Altitude Nuclear Weapon Effects Using
High Power Computing Capability. The technical objectives of this
effort are to develop and enhance the physics accuracy of the DTRA's
high altitude NWE codes to predict the deposition and spectral energy
distribution of individual debris species after an explosion in the
atmosphere; and to account for the non-linear MHD wave and shock wave
acceleration of the debris ions and electrons; and to include weapons
disassembly at explosion in the atmosphere which will be uncovered by
the DOE laboratories' advanced strategic computing initiative (ASCI)
calculations. THE PROCUREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Any
responsible sources will be considered. Solicitation will be released
on or about 4 May 1999. For further information, contact Nancy McCann
at (703) 325-5029. Posted 04/09/99 (W-SN318172). (0099) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0002 19990413\A-0002.SOL)
