This is a noncompetitive contract action to BDM Federal Inc in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BDM Federal Inc. is the only contractor currently supplying translators/interpreters with the proper security clearances to operations in the Balkans. This contract action is a contract expansion to require the contractor to continue to provide translator/interpreter services to U.S. troops and support personnel in Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Italy, Germany and additionally to U.S. troops in Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo and other areas/countries supporting any peacekeeping missions in the Former Republics of Yugoslavia. The estimated categories of linguists to be supplied in the cited languages are: Serbo-Croatian (SC) Local National;SC, US citizen, SECRET clearance; Albanian Local National; Albanian US citizen, SECRET clearance; Macedonian Local National and Greek Local National.
