The United States Department of State Acquisition Office (A/LM/AQM) is issuing Invitation for Bids No. S-OPRAQ-99-B-0077 for lease of motor vehicles for selected Department of State sites nationwide (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Houston, TX; San Francisco, CA; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA and Washington, D.C.). The anticipated contract type is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum order of 10 vehicles for each contract year's (12 calendar months) lease. The total estimated maximum quantity is 125 vehicles per contract year. Each vehicle shall be ordered and funded through issuance of delivery orders for a period of 12 calendar months; however, it is the intention of the Government to retain each delivered vehicle for a period of 24 months, subject to exercise of the option years and the availability of funds. The Contract Line Items (CLINs) are as follows: CLIN 0001 Full-sized Sport Utility Vehicle, 4-wheel drive, 9-passenger, (Police Interceptors); CLIN 0002 Cargo Minivans -- Long Body (all trac) (Electronic 4-speed automatic overdrive (Security Package)). All vehicles proposed shall be new curent year vehicles. Previously owned vehicles are not acceptable and will not be considered. States requirements for vehicular safety and pollution controls inspections must be obtained by the contractor locally through each state's Department of Motor Vehicles. Each vehicle delivered to the Government must comply with the local state's vehicle inspection requirements, including individual state pollution control requirements and, if necessary, arrange for fitting/retrofitting vehicles to meet all the state's vehicular safety and pollution controls requirements. All vehicles shall be covered by 24 hour nationwide road service.
